Prahaar is the story of Major Chavan, a tough and stern soldier, trained to destroy the enemy. He can see the enemy on our borders but is unaware of the invisible enemy within ourselves. When one of Major's Commandos - Peter D'Souza is killed, he is shown the harsh reality revolving around us, the enemy is within ourselves. The battlefield changes and Major Chavan makes his final attack on the enemy within this crumbling society.

1. Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from all the Districts of State of Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram to become airmen. The Recruitment test for Group „X‟ (Technical) trades will be held at HQ Eastern Air Command, Upper Shillong, Nonglyer Post, Shillong (Meghalaya) as per the Selection Programme given below.

2. SELECTION PROGRAMME. The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

3. DATE OF BIRTH BLOCK. Candidates should be born between 01 January 1992 to 31 March 1996 (both days inclusive).

4. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
(a) Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
(b) Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.
Note: - Exact aggregate percentage of marks up to first place of decimal for all subjects as mentioned in the Marks Sheet of Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent will only be considered (For example, 49.9% should NOT be rounded off to 50%).

5. DOMICILE REQUIREMENT.
To be eligible to appear in the rally at HQ Eastern Air Command, Upper Shillong, Nonglyer Post, Shillong (Meghalaya) the candidates are required to satisfy the following conditions:
(a) Should have passed the qualifying examination from any of the RECOGNISED BOARDS/UNIVERSITY.
(b) The School / College /Polytechnic Institute from where candidates have passed the qualifying examination should be within the geographical/administrative limits of the STATES OF MEGHALAYA, TRIPURA, ASSAM AND MIZORAM. If the name of District is not mentioned with the name of Institution in the certificate / marks sheets of qualifying examination, the candidates are to produce „DOMICILE CERTIFICATE‟ issued by SDM/DM/Executive Magistrate or any other official authorised by the State Governments of Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram.
(c) Permanent Domicile of the States of Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram who have passed the qualifying examination from any other State in India are also eligible, provided they produce the Domicile Certificate prior to commencement of examination from appropriate authority as given in sub-paragraph (b) above.
(d) Sons of Serving/Retired/Discharged/ Deceased Air Force Personnel, irrespective of their domicile status may be permitted to appear in the rally subject to submission of Son of Air Force Personnel Certificate as a proof in the following categories: -
(i) Father/Mother is presently serving in any Air Force Unit located in the States of Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram.
(ii) Ex-IAF personnel/families of deceased personnel who are residing in the States of Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram (on production of proof of minimum stay of one year and Original and one photocopy of discharge book).

6. MEDICAL STANDARDS :-
(a) General Medical Standards for Group „X‟ (Technical) trades are as follows:
(i) Height: Minimum height required is 152.5 cms.
(ii) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(iii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
(v) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(vi) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
(vii) Health: Candidate should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

7. Candidates discharged from the Armed Forces on any ground or dismissed from any Government Organisation for any reason earlier are NOT eligible to appear in the rally.
8. WRITING MATERIALS AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED. Candidates are to bring the following:-
(a) HB Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Gum tube, Stapler and Black/Blue Ball Point Pen for writing.
(b) Seven copies of recent front portrait (without headgear except for Sikh) passport-size (5 cm X 4 cm) colour photograph taken on or after 21 August 2012. Photographs should be on good quality “photo paper”.
(c) Two unstamped self addressed 24x10 cm white envelopes of good quality.
(d) Original and three photocopies of each of all educational certificates and marks sheets and domicile as well as NCC certificates (if applicable).
Under any circumstances the candidates will not be permitted to appear in the Selection Test without Original Matriculation pass certificate, Intermediate Marks sheet, Intermediate pass certificate and Domicile Certificate. However, candidates with photocopies of Matriculation pass certificate, Intermediate Mark sheet and Intermediate pass certificate can be permitted to appear in the Selection Test only on production of a certificate from College/School Principal certifying that Educational Certificates/Marks sheets are deposited with College/School.
(e) Consent Form: (as per the format given below) Candidates are to bring the “Consent Form‟ to the Examination Venue and submit it before the Physical Fitness Test. Candidates below 18 years of age are to get the Consent form filled and signed by their parent/guardian. The candidates of 18 years of age and above can sign the consent form themselves.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
9. TENURE & TRAINING. Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable up to the age of 57 years. Initially candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) for 12 weeks at Basic Training Institute, Belgaum (Karnataka). On successful completion of JBPT candidates will be sent for trade training of specified durations. Training is however liable to be terminated at any time if the trainee fails to achieve the required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found to be medically unfit. After successful completion of training, the airmen will be deployed on ground based jobs as per their allotted trades.

10. PAY & ALLOWANCES. 
During training, a stipend of Rs. 8,550/-pm will be paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Dearness Allowance (DA), for Group „X‟ (Technical) trades will be Rs. 21,414/-per month (approximately) [Pay in Pay Band – (Rs. 7,050/-) + Grade Pay – (Rs. 2,000/-) + Military Service Pay (MSP) – (Rs. 2,000/-) + X Group Pay – (Rs. 1,400/-) + DA @ 72% - (Rs. 8,964/-)] which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 37,788/-per
month (approximately) [(Pay in Pay Band – (Rs. 13,770/-) + Grade Pay – (Rs. 4,800/-) + Military Service Pay (MSP) – (Rs. 2,000/-) + X Group Pay – (Rs. 1,400/-) + DA @ 72% - (Rs. 15,818/-)] as per sixth pay commission depending upon the rank attained. Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Family planning allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

11. PERQUISITES
. Perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical facilities, Accommodation, CSD Canteen facilities, Leave (60 days Annual and 30 days Casual in a Calendar year as a privilege), Education concession to children, Recreational facilities, Free transport for school going children and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) are also provided as per the existing rules. Notwithstanding the above, Group Insurance Cover of Rs. 25, 00,000/- at a premium of Rs. 1,730/- per month is covered for all airmen and facility of Group Housing Scheme is also extended. Other facilities by Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) are also extended to the family of airmen.

12. POST-RETIREMENT BENEFITS
Pension, Medical Insurance Cover, Gratuity and Canteen facilities comprise some of the post-retirement benefits. Specialized Pre-release Courses are also arranged to enable airmen to take up post-retirement careers. In addition, airmen also get relaxation in age and reservation in Government services as Ex-servicemen.

13. PROMOTION.
  Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Warrant Officer (MWO). Opportunities to become a Commissioned Officer also exist for those airmen who qualify the prescribed examinations, later during their service career.

14. JOB SPECIFICATION 
 Group „X‟ (Technical) trades involve jobs as given below:
(a) Automobile Fitter. In this trade you are responsible for maintenance and repair of all type of light and heavy duty mechanical vehicles, cranes and loading equipment etc.
(b) Electronics Fitter. As an Electronics Fitter you operate and maintain Radar, Voice and Data transmission and reception equipment mounted on latest airborne weapon delivery systems and ground based air defense systems. You will get trained in Digital Electronics, measuring instruments, radar technology, latest electronics devices and related trade fundamentals.
(c) Electrical Fitter. You will maintain power supply system of latest types of aircraft, airborne missiles and associated ground systems. You will also maintain photo equipment mounted on air borne weapon systems and operate ground based photo systems. You will get trained in electrical trade, operation and maintenance of digital devices, electronic devices etc.
(d) Mechanical System Fitter. You will repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of airborne missiles, engines, automobiles and aircraft fuelling equipment. Complete aircraft ground support equipment will also be repaired and maintained by you. You will be trained in handling and preparation of bombs and explosives and in electrical system, workshop and mechanical trades as well as automobile mechanics.
(e) Structures Fitter. As Structures Fitter you are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of airframes and their accessories, components and controls of aircraft. Regular checks for the entire hydraulic and pneumatic system to ensure proper functioning against leaks are also part of your duties. You will also be assigned the responsibility of marshaling, parking, picketing and ground handling of aircraft.
(f) Propulsion Fitter. In this trade you will repair, maintain and prepare for use the propulsion system of aircraft and other airborne weapon delivery system.
(g) Workshop Fitter (Smith). You will undertake major structural repairs of all aircraft at central repair facilities. You will also be trained in workshop trade for material treatment, welding, heat treatment, smithy and basic machine tools etc.
(h) Workshop Fitter (Mechanical). You will undertake repair and maintenance work of mechanical nature. You will be trained in workshop trade and practices.
(j) Weapon Fitter. In this trade, you will prepare, maintain and service armaments, ammunition and safety equipment of aircraft, missiles and other weapon delivery systems. You will also operate and maintain small arms and bomb destruction equipment. You will be trained to handle bombs, explosives, arms and their installation on weapon delivery platforms.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

15. VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY.
  Original Certificates, Mark Sheets and other required documents {NCC „A‟, „B‟ or „C‟ certificate, Son of Air Force personnel certificate (SOAFP), Domicile certificate etc.) will be scrutinized and verified at the examination venue prior to commencement of Written Test to ascertain the prima-facie eligibility. Detailed verification will be carried out in respect of candidates who pass Written Test later.
SEQUENCE OF EXAMINATION

16. WRITTEN TEST. 
Written test will be objective type and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English Paper. Duration of the Written Test will be 60 minutes. Written test will be conducted in English, Physics & Mathematics as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE.
CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day.

17. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT). 
All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates completing the PFT in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds will be awarded additional marks on a sliding scale. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts.
18. INTERVIEW. Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be interviewed. Working knowledge of English is a prerequisite.

19. TRADE ALLOCATION TEST (TAT).
 Candidates of Group „X‟ (Technical) trades who qualify in interview are to undergo Trade Allocation Test for bifurcation into Mechanical and Electronics stream. Specific trade allotment within these streams will be carried out at Basic Training Institute (BTI), Air Force (Belgaum).

20. MEDICAL EXAMINATION. 
 Medical examination will be conducted as per IAF medical standards for recruitment as airmen by medical officers of the Armed Forces. Candidates declared Medically Unfit can avail the option for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) against their Unfitness by depositing Rs. 40/- in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI through Military Receivable Order (MRO). The application for AMB along with original copy of MRO, Xerox copy of Unfitness Certificate and Postal Stamp worth Rs. 25/- affixed on a self-addressed envelope are to be submitted to 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Borjhar, Guwahati (Assam) for processing within seven working days from the date of issue of Medical Certificate.
NOTE: - Candidates are advised to get tartar & stains removed from their teeth before appearing for the written test. Ears should be free of wax. Candidates should be prepared to stay for the test for four to five days under their own arrangement. No TA/DA will be admissible.
21. PUBLISHING OF AISL The All India Select List (AISL) will be displayed at 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Borjhar, Guwahati (Assam) on 31 JANUARY 2013. A copy of the Display List will be sent to District Magistrate of Shillong (Meghalaya) (through Airmen Selection Centre) and also available at Indian Air Force website www.indianairforce.nic.in. The inclusion of names of the candidates in the AISL depends upon the performance of the candidates in the Selection Test.

OFFICER (CATERING) IN THE INDIAN ARMY

BECOME A JUNIOR COMMISSIONED OFFICER (CATERING) IN THE INDIAN ARMY

1. Applications are invited from candidates for recruitment as Junior Commissioned
Officer (Catering) in the Army who fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

2. ELIGIBILITY.
(a) Age : 21 to 27 years as on First day of Recruitment Rally.
(b) Educational Qualifications:
(i) 10+2 or equivalent from any education board recognized by Council
of board of school education in India. Candidates should have working
knowledge of either English or Hindi or both.
(ii) Diploma/Certificate Course of a duration of one year or more
in Cookery/Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a
recognized University / Food Craft Institute. AICTE recognition is not
mandatory.

(c) Number of vacancies : 05 (five).
3. PHYSICAL STANDARDS. Minimum physical standards will be as applicable to
the Soldier (General Duty) category. These vary depending upon the region of the country.
The country has been divided into six regions, e.g Western Himalayan Region, Eastern
Himalayan Region, Western Plains Region, Eastern Plains Region, Central Region and
Southern Region. The details can be obtained from the nearest HQ Recruiting Zone / Army
Recruiting Office/IRO.

4. MODE OF RECRUITMENT.
(a) Screening. Screening of the candidates will be carried out from 15 – 18
Jan 2013 at Army Supply Corps Centre (South), Bangalore.
(b) Physical Fitness Test. Physical Fitness Tests applicable are as follows
:-
(i) 1.6 km run in maximum 6.20 minutes.
(ii) Pull ups (Beam) – minimum of 6.
(iii) Balance – Qualify.
(iv) 9 Feet Ditch - Qualify.
5. Medical Standard. A candidate should have robust physique and mental health,
chest should be well developed having minimum 5 cm expansion, should have normal
hearing with each ear. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth, i.e.
14 dental points. Should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose
veins or piles. Candidates may contact nearest recruiting office / zones given in Para 14
of the advertisement for existing rules on medical standards.
6. Written Examination. Only those candidates selected in the screening will be
permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted only at Army Supply
Corps Centre (South), Bangalore on 21 Jan 2013. The written examination will be of two
hours. The exam will comprise of one composite question paper of 100 marks. Min pass
marks is 40.
7. Result of the written examination and names of successful candidates shortlisted
for interview alongwith the date and time of interview willl be communicated in situ and list will also be displayed at Army Supply Corps Centre (South), Bangalore on 28 Jan 13.
8. Interview
(a) The candidates declared successful in the written examination will be
shortlisted to appear for interview at Army Supply Corps Centre (South), Bangalore
on 29-30 Jan 2013. Those who qualify in interview and are placed in the overall
merit list will be selected provisionally for the post of JCO Catering.
(b) Candidates who are serving with any organization and are selected for
the interview will produce “Non Encumbrance Certificate” from their employee
and submit it to Army Supply Corps Centre (South), Bangalore before the interview.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION
9. Candidates who qualify in the Interview will require to undergo a Medical
Examination wef 31 Jan to 05 Feb 13 in ASC Centre (S) Bangalore. The candidate should
be in Med Category SHAPE- I in term of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/Rtg dt 05 Aug
2005 and as amended from time to time.

TERMS OF ENROLMENT
10. Selected candidates will be commissioned as Naib Subedar (Group Y) af ter
completion of Military and Technical Training.
11. Pay, Allowances and Perks: On completion of training the JCO (Catering) will be
placed at the minimum pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800. In addition they will be entitled to
DA, free accommodation, entitled ration for self, uniform, free medical and leave travel
concession for self, family, and dependents, canteen facilities and other allowances as
admissible to the regular Army.

format alongwith all required documents duly superscribed “APPLICATION FOR JUNIOR

INDIAN ARMY PERMANENT COMMISSION10+2 TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME COURSE - 29 COMMENCING FROM JUL 2013


1. Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates who have passed
10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Hereinafter referred
to as PCM) subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent
paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army after 4 years of
Basic Military Training and Technical Training thereafter with the terms and
conditions given in the succeeding paragraphs.

2. ELIGIBILITY:

(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A
subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who
came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of
permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated
from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,
the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and
Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a
candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person
in whose favour a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the
examination provisionally subject to the necessary certificate being given to
him by the Govt before declaration of result by SSB/joining training.
(b) Age Limit: A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½
years on the first day of the month in which the course is commencing i.e.
the candidate should not be born before 01 Jan 1994 and not after 01
Jan 1997 (both days inclusive). The date of birth accepted by the office is
that entered in the Marticulation or Secondary School Leaving certificate or in
the certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation
or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University
which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or
in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate. No other
document relating to age will be accepted. The expression Matriculation/
Higher Secondary Examination Certificate in this part of the instruction includes
the alternative certificate mentioned above.
NOTE 1: Candidate should note only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/
Higher Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date
of submission of applications will be accepted and no subsequent request for
its change will be considered or granted.
NOTE 2: Candidates should also note that once a date of birth has been claimed
by them and entered in the records, no change will be allowed subsequently or
a subsequent examination on any ground whatsoever.
NOTE 3: Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete their full
training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application,
though successful, will not be selected for training. A candidate who marries
during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure
incurred on him by the government.

(C) Educational Qualification: Only those candidates who have passed 10+2
Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized education boards are eligible to
apply for this entry. Eligibility conditions for calculating % of PCM will be followed
as per the present guideliness/ instructions in vogue of various state/central
Boards.

3. VACANCIES: 85
Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training
capacity at the training Academy for this course. The vacancies are subject to
increase/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at the point of time.

4. TYPE OF COMMISSION: On successful completion of 4 years of the course
cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.:-
5. Grant of Commission: On successful completion of total 04 years training,
the candidates will be commissioned in the rank of Lt. They will be granted
seniority on overall order of merit of the three technical institutes combined i.e.
CME, MCTE, MCEME and in case the date of commissioning coincides with that
of IMA, Dehradun, they will be placed en-block junior to IMA (NDA / ACC / DE
Course ) but above TGC / UES course.

TRAINING
6. Total training will be 5 years, Details as under:
(a) Basic Military Training : 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya). (b)
Technical Training: (i)Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune,
MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad), (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training):
1 year at CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad. (c) Award of
Degree: The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful
completion of training as given out in para 6 (a) and (b) above. No ante date
seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree.
In case they fail to qualify in the following year examination, the same will result
in loss of seniority to them and they will forfiet seniority to the extent of delay
in passing Engineering degree examination. If they fail to qualify even within three
years of their commissioning, their commission will be terminated.

COST OF TRAINING
7. The entire cost of training including books and reading material is borne by the
Army. Cadets are also provided with free accommodation and messing. In case
the GC is withdrawn from training academy due to reasons other than Medical
ground or the reasons not beyond his control, he will be liable to refund cost of
training @ Rs. 7075/ -per week for the period of his stay at the Officer Training
Academy, Gaya/Cadet Taining Wing.
8. The selection procedure is as follows:
(a) Short listed candidates will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB)
interview at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad. Interviews will be held in Feb/Mar
2013 onwards. (b) Duration of SSB interviews is five days excluding day of
arrival. During their stay at SSB, Candidates are put through psychological Test,
Group test and Interviews. (c)Candidates will be put through stage - I of the
selection procedure on the first day. Only successful candidates shall be retained
for balance of the testing. Candidates who fail to qualify in stage - I, will be
returned on the first day itself, Stage I are psychologically originated test including
intelligence test. (d) Successful candidates at the SSB will be required to undergo
medical test lasting 3 to 5 days less Sundays and gazetted holidays. (e) Candidates
recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training
in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available. (f) The
finally selected candidates will execute all the Bonds/Certificates as prescribed
for the Cadets of NDA entry under Al 53/78.(g) Candidates appering for SSB
interview for the first time for a particular type of commission shall be entitled
for AC III tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper
charges within the Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type
of commission will not entitled to travelling allowance on any subsequent occasion.

STIPEND/PAY AND ALLOWANCES
9. The candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- p.m. (Rs 15,600/- as
pay in Pay Band plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/-) as is admissible to NDA cadets
on completion of 3 years training. On completion of 4 Years training they will be
commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank.

(b) Qualification Grant
Officers possessing certain prescribed qualification are entitled to lumpsum
Qualification Grant of 7,500/-, 11,250/-, 18,750/- or 25,000/- based on the
qualification held by the them.
(c) The Army Aviators (Pilots) serving in Army Aviation Corps are entitled to the
Qualification Pay, based on the Qualification held by them, as under: -

In case of allowance spcific to Defence Forces, the rates of these allowances
have been further enhanced by 25% a Dearness Allowance has gone up by
50%.
(f) Cost to company(CTC). The CTC for a Lieutentant would be approximately
Rs. 65000/- per month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Service
Pay, Tech Pay, House Rent Allowance and Transport allowance. These rates
are not statutory and are subject to change.
(g) Privilleges, In addition to the CTC mentioned above, Army provides free
medical Facilities for Self & dependents, Canteen facilities, Entitled Ration, Mess/
Club/Sports Facilities Furnished Govt Accommodation, Car/Houing Loan at
subsidised rate.

(h)PROMOTION

(j) RETIREMENT BENEFITS
Pension gratuity and casual pensionary award will be admissible in accordance
with the rules in force from time to time.
(k) Officers may be granted commision in any arms/services and will be liable
for service in any part of the world on selected appoinments as decided by
Army headquarters from time to time.
(l) LEAVE: Leave will be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from
time to time.
10. On commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual leave and 20 days
casual leave LTC, and other concessions.
11. On being commissioned, all officers will be guided by the terms and
conditions as given out by the Army Group Insurance Scheme and as amended
from time to time.
(a) Army Group Insurance Fund Provides Insurance cover of Rs. 15 Lac on
payment of one time non-refundable premium of Rs. 8200/- by cadets from
the date of joining for pre-commission training i.e. for 3 years. If a cadets is
relegated an additional premium of Rs. 1,444/- per relegated term will be paid.
Those who are medically boarded out on account of disability, the disability
cover provided for 100% disability will be Rs. 7.5 Lac reduced up to Rs. 1.5
Lac for 20 per cent disability. However, disability for less than 20 percent, an
ex-gratia of Rs. 50,000/- will be paid and Rs. 1 lac ex-gratia will be paid to
cadets invalid out during their last year of trg wef 01 Jan 2011. There is
no saving component under this scheme. Disability due to alcoholism, drug
addiction and due to the diseases of pre-enrolment origin will not qualify for
disability benefit and ex-gratia Grant.
(b) The Gentlemen Cadets when in receipt of stipend of Rs. 21,000/- per
month are insured for Rs. 40 lac wef 01 Apr 2011. For those who are
medically boarded out of Academy on account of disability, the disability cover
provided for 100% disability will be Rs. 20 Lac which is proportionately
reduced up to Rs. 4 Lac for 20% disability. However, for disability less than
20 percent an ex-gratia of Rs. 50,000/- will be paid and Rs 1 lac ex-gratia
will be paid to cadets invalid out during their last year of trg wef 01 Dec 2012.
Disability due to alcoholism, drug addiction and due to the diseases of preenrolment
origin will not qualify for disability benefit and ex-gratia. Subscription
at the rate of Rs. 4000/- will have to be paid in advance on monthly basis
by the Gentlemen Cadets to become member under the main AGI Scheme as
applicable to Regular Army Officers. The subscription for the relegated period
would also be recovered at the same rate.

13. HOW TO APPLY: Application will only be accepted on line. To do so the
candidates needs to click on the “online application” button on website
www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
(i) Candidates must enter their particulars in the online application. Terms and
conditions linked to the form must be read, prior to submitting the form
(ii) After submitting the form an acknowledgement with a Roll number will be
provided to the candidate. If the system does not generate Roll Number,
if is an indication of non acceptance of application by the system.
(iii) After submitting online application, candidates are required to obtain two
copies of the application printout and the Roll Number generated by the
system. One copy of the print out application duly Signed and affixed
photograph attested by a gazatted officer of Central/State Govt. Photocopies
of Class 10th Certificate/Mark sheet showing date of birth and 12th Class
Certificate alongwith mark sheets duly attested by Gazetted officer are
to be forwarded to “Additional Directorate General of Recruiting
(Rtg-6), TES Section, West Block-III, R.K puram, New Delhi- 110066”.
The last date of receipt of such printouts of online applications is 10 Dec
2012 While forwarding these applications the words “Online application
10+2 TES and the Roll No.... and PCM %age must be written boldly outside
the envelope. The second copy of the printout of application form alongwith
the Roll No and all the above certificates in original are to be carried to
the Selection Centre by the candidate for the SSB interview. Any candidate
who does not carry all these document for the SSB interview, his
candidature will be cancelled.
(iv) Candidates must submit only one application, Receipt of multiple applications
from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.

(v) ONLINE APPLICATION WILL OPEN ON 06 NOV 2012 AT 1000 HRS AND
WILL BE CLOSED ON 03 DEC 2012 AT 1000 HRS.

14. Note.(a) Any change in your postal address after submission of
application must be communicated by post duly quoting your
Roll No, name and course opted for.
(b) All original certificates along with two attested copies each Will
be carried by the candidate for SSB interview. Originals will be
returned after verification at the Service Selection Board itself.
15. Original certificates should not be attached with the application form.
Additional Directorate General of Recruiting, Adjutant General’s Branch,

The application will be screened at Recruiting Directorate, Integrated
Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army) and the candidate thereafter will be
detailed for SSB, (b) Print out of online application must be accompanied by
attested (By a Gazetted Officer of the Central/State Govt/1st Class Magistrate
etc.) photocopies of 10th class certificate issued by the Board concerned
(CBSE/State Boards/lCSE) in which date of birth is reflected for proof of date
of birth (Admit card/Marksheet/Transfer/Leaving Certificate etc. are not
acceptable for proof of date of birth) and 10+2 certificate and marksheet for
proof of education. Revised marksheets issued by a Board/University after
last date of receipt of application will not be accepted for this course,
however, the same will be accepted for the subsequent course. (c) While
filling up the application form, candidate are required to indicate
exact PCM percentage of Class 12th upto two decimals and are not
to be rounding off. Any false entry of PCM percentage, detected at
any stage of selection will be outrightly rejected. (d) Army Headquarters
reserves the right to short list applications and to fix cut off percentage of
PCM marks without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained
on this account. (e) Shortlisted candidates will be detailed to undergo SSB
interview from Feb 2013 onwards. No compensation will be paid in respect
of any injury sustained as a result of test conducted at SSB. All application

17. CHANGE OF INTERVIEW DATES Request for change of SSB Interview
date should be avoided. However, under most unavoidable circumstances,
such change may be considered based on the circumstances of the case.
This will be an exception rather the rule. Request for such change should be
forwarded to Selection Centre from where the call-up letter for SSB interview
has been received and not to Additional Directorate General Recruiting. The
Selection Centre may permit change of date at their discretion.

18. REASONS FOR REJECTION OF APPLICATION
(a) Incomplete applications in any respect and/or without copies of requisite
certificate(s). Documents submitted at a later stage will not be entertained.
(b) Variation in names and spellings as recorded in application/Matric or
equivalent certificate not supported by affidavite. (c) Non-attachment of copy
of 10th class certificate for age proof and 12th class marksheet for proof of
PCM % duly attested by a Govt. Gazetted officer No other certificate is valid

1. Applications are invited from Male Married/Unmarried Engineering Graduates from
recognised University including temporary Central/State Govt. servants, serving personnel
of the regular Army and Territorial Army (including of ficers of Territorial Army) and
serving personnel of Navy and Air Force for grant of permanent commission in the Indian
Army.
(a) Streamwise vacancies are as given below:-
Note : NO DEVIATION FROM ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS IS ACCEPTABLE. CLAIMS OF
COURSE CONTENT/SIMILAR STREAM WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. These vacancies are
tentative and may be changed depending on availability.
(b) Age Limit: s
(i) For Engineering Graduates -20 to 27 yrs (Born between 02 Jul 86 and 01 Jul 93).
(ii) For AEC - 23 to 27 yrs (Born between 02 Jul 86 and 01 Jul 90).
(iii) For Military Farms - 20 to 27 yrs(Born not earlier than 02 Jul 86 and not after
01 Jul 93).
(c) Educational Qualification: (i) For Engineers. Candidates studying in the Final Year
of Engineering Degree and who are qualified graduates of the Degree Course in
Engineering will be eligible to apply. The qualified graduates of the Degree Course
must possess Engineering Degree at the time of joining training. The candidates studying
in the final year of Degree Course, if not already in possession of the Degree Certificate
should be able to produce the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the date of
commencement of training at IMA. Such candidates will be inducted for training at IMA
on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time
as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite
degree certificate. Important Note :- Candidates must note that the minimum educational
qualification for induction into TGC - 117 course is BE/B.Tech degree in the engineering
stream notif ied in Para (1) above. Therefore, to become eligible for induction into
TGC - 117 course, candidates studying in final year of engineering must complete all
the formlities including viva voce etc for award of qualifying BE/B.Tech degree before
commencement of course, failing which their candidature is liable to be cancelled.
(ii) For Army Education Corps. MA/M.Sc Degree in 1st or 2nd division from a university
recognized by AIU in English/Economics/History/Music/ Geography/Political Science /
Physics & Math . (iii) For Military Farm. A degree in dairying or a degree in Agriculture
from a recognized university with dairying as one of the subjects or an equivalent foreign
qualification in Agriculture (Preference will be given to those who hold M.Sc degree or
have carried out research in Dairying of Fodder Crops) (AI 105/61).
2. CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of
Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) Tibetan origin but of Indian domicile, whose
parents entered India as refugees prior to 1st January 1962 with intention of
Permanently settling in India. (v) a person of Indian origin who migrated from
Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, United
Republic of Tanzania, Zambi, Malawai, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention
of Permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories
(ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility
has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however
not be necessary in the case of candidate who are Gorkhas subject of Nepal.
(b) Candidates withdrawn from IMA/OTA/Naval Academy/Air Force Academy on
disciplinary grounds are not eligible to apply.
(c) Physical Standards:
(i) Height & Weight: The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5
cms with correlated weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and
hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be
relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of candidates
from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2cms.
(ii) Visual Standards: The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant vision
(corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18, Myopia of not more than minus 3.5 including
Astigmation. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for having undergone
Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected.
Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery for Correction of reflective error are
NOT acceptable.
(iii) To pass fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health free from
any disability.
(iv) Prospective candidates are advised to exercise and keep themselves physically
fit, in order to avoid any injury due to the rigorous physical training at Indian Military
Academy. In order to be able to adjust to the regime there candidates are advised
to achieve following standards before joining the IMA, if f inally selected:- (a)
Running 2.4Km in 15 minutes (b) Push ups - 13 Nos (c) Sit ups - 25 Nos
(d) Chin ups - 6 Nos (e) Rope climbing - 3-4 metres.
3. METHOD OF SELECTION:
(a) Shortlisting of Applications and SSB Interviews: Integrated HQ of MoD (Army)
reserves the right to shorlist applications and to fix cutoff percentage of marks without
assigning any reason. Initial checking of applications will be done at Directorate
General Recruiting, Army HQs. Only shorlisted eligible candidates depending on
aggregate percentage of marks scored will be called for and assessed under aegis
of Selection Centres, namely Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP) and Bangalore (Karnataka)
by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Candidates will not
be interviewed locally. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Army
Headquarters and no requests of changes are entertained in this regard.
(b) Two Stage Selection Procedure: Two stage selection procedure based on
Psychological Aptitude Test is held at Selection Centres. All the candidates will face
stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres. The candidates who
qualify in stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests. Those who
fail to pass stage one will be returned on the same date.
(c) MERIT LIST: IT IS TO BE NOTED THAT MERE QUALIFYING AT THE SSB INTERVIEW
DOES NOT CONFIRM FINAL SELECTION. A MERIT LIST IS PREPARED FOR EVERY
QUALIFICATION SUBJECT SEPARATELY PURELY ON THE BASIS OF MARKS OBTAINED
BY THE CANDIDATES AT SSB’S AND AS SUCH HIGHER EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS,
PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES, NCC BACKGROUND ETC HAVE NO ROLE TO PLAY. THOSE
HIGH IN THE MERIT LIST AND WHO COME WITHIN THE STIPULATED VACANCIES, AND
ARE MEDICALLY FIT ARE ISSUED JOINING INSTRUCTION FOR PRECOMMISSIONING
TRAINING.
(d) The merit list of the recommended candidates will be displayed at the reception
of DG RTG and its Website i.e. www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Candidates, who do not figure in the Merit List of TGC, may be offered SSC(T) if
vacancies exist after allotment to all eligible SSC(T) candidates.
4. MEDICAL EXAMINATION: A candidate recommended by the Service Selection
Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.
The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be divulged to
anyone. However, candidates declared unfit by the Special Medical Board (SMB) will
be intimated by the president of the Medical Board. The procedure for request for
Appeal Medical Board (AMB) will also be intimated to the candidates. Unfit candidates
should report for AMB within a maximum period of 42 days. Candidates are advised
to note that Recruiting Directorate has no role to play in Appeal Medical Boards and
procedure advised by the medical authorities is to be strictly adhered to. Candidates
declared unfit by AMB will be intimated by the President, AMB about procedure to
challenge the finding of AMB. Candidates will also be intimated that Review Medical
Board (RMB) will be granted at the discretion of DGAFMS based on the merits of
the case and that RMB is not a matter of right. Candidates will be considered
medically fit only on receipt of the approved Medical documents from Directorate
General Medical Services.

Note : Candidates are advised in their own interest to undergo a preliminary
medical check up for wax in ears, DNS, defective colour vision, over weight/under
weight, piles, gynaecomasties, tonsilitis and visicocle before reporting for the SSB
interview.
5. Training and Prospects : (a) Selected candiates for Technical Graduates
Course will be detailed for training at Indian Military Academy. Dehradun according
to their position in the final order of merit, discipline wise upto the number of
vacancies available at the time (b) Duration of training is one year (c) Engineering
Graduates will be granted Short Service Commission (on probation) and will be
entitled to draw full pay and allowances admissible to Lt during training period.
Pay and allowances will be paid after successful completion of training. (d)
Candidates will neither be allowed to marry during the period of training nor will
he be allowed to live with parents/Guardians. Candidates must not marry until they
complete the full training at the Indian Military Academy. A candidate, who married
subsequent to the date of his application though successful at the Services
Selection Board interview or medical examination, will not be inducted for taining.
A candidate if he marries, while under training, shall be discharged and will be
liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the government.(e) Training
at IMA is at Govt. expense. (i) Engineering Graduates will be granted permanent
commission in the rank of Lt with one year antedate seniority from the date of
granting commission. (ii) Non-engineering Post Graduates applying for AEC will be
Granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lt. However they are not entitiled
to any ante date seniority. (f) Ante Date Seniority. One year ante date seniority
from date of commission will be applicable only for Officers having Engineering
Degree (BE/B.Tech) from a recognized institution/university.
6. The final allocation of Arms/ Services will be made prior to passing out of
Gentlemen Cadets from IMA.
7. LIABILITY OF SERVICE: Officers may be granted commission in any arms/
services and will be liable for service in any part of the world on selected
appointments as decided by Army Headquarters from time to time.
THE ARMY OFFERS YOU
8.(a) Pay Scale. The promotion from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel is on time
scale basis and thereafter on selection basis subject to fulfillment of requisite
service conditions. The Pay Scale and promotion criteria is as follows:-
Note:- In the case of allowances specific to Defence Forces, the rates of these
allowances have been further enhanced by 25% as Dearness Allowances has
gone up by 50%
9. Cost to company (CTC). The CTC for a Lieutenant would be approximately
Rs.65000/- per month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay Military Service
Pay, Tech Pay, House Rent Allowance and Transport allowance. These rates are
not statutory and are subject to change.
10. Privileges. In addition to the CTC mentioned above, Army provides free
Medical Facilities for Self & dependents, Canteen facilities, Entitled Ration, Mess/
Club/Sports Facilities, Furnished Govt Accommodation, Car/Housing Loan at
subsidised rate.
11. Army Group Insurance Fund. The Gentlemen Cadets of IMA in receipt of
stipend are insured for Rs 40 lac wef 01 Apr 2011. Those who get medically
boarded out of Academy on account of disability, the disability cover provided for
100 per cent disability will be Rs 20 lac which is proportionately reduced upto Rs
4 lac for 20 per cent disability. However, for less than 20 per cent disability, only
an Ex-Gratia Grant of Rs 50,000/- will be paid. Disability due to alcoholism, drug
addition and due to the diseases of pre enrolment origin will not qualify for disability
benifit and Ex-Gratia Grant. In addition, Gentleman cadets withdrawn on disciplinary
grounds, expelled as an undesirable or voluntarily leaving the Academy will also
not be eligible for disability benifit and Ex-Gratia. Subscription at the rate of Rs
4,000/- will have to be paid in advance on monthly basis by the Gentleman Cadets
in receipt of stipend and will become memebers of the main Army Group Insurance
Scheme as applicable to Regular Army Officers.
12. Leave Entitlements. On Commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual
and 20 days casual leave every year (subject to service exigencies). They are
also entitled for 40% rail concession to any place and free travel (as per extant
rules) for self and family. Leave during training period will be as per the Training
Policy in force.
13. Sports & Adventure. The Army provides facilities to pursue any sport of
your liking. In addition, one can learn and participate in adventure sports, such as
river rafting, mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, Horse Riding etc.
14. Physical Fitness. In Indian Military Academy curriculum, a lot of emphasis
is laid on Physical fitness. You are therefore, advised to remain fit through physical
exercises, sports, running, swimming, etc. so that you meet the training goals
successfully.
15. STIPEND / PAY DURING TRAINING AT IMA: During the period of training the
candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- p.m. (Rs. 15,600/- as pay in
Pay Band Plus Grade Pay Rs 5,400/-). On completion of training Officers are
commissioned as Lt and entitled to the pay scale as given in para 8 above.
16. The final allotment of Arms/Service/Corps, at the time of passing out will be
the sole discretion of Integrated HQ, Min of Defence (Army) keeping in view the
existing policy. No representation is tenable on this account.
17. HOW TO APPLY (Only online): Applications will only be accepted on linefor TGC
except AEC & MF. To do’ so the candidates needs to click on the “on line application”
button on website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
(i) The online form is self exlainatory please follow the instruction terms and conditions
given on the form.
(ii) Filling up of online Application: While filling online application it is advisable to
keep the relevant documents readily available as details are to be f illed as per
matriculation and other educational certificates.Visit website joinindianarmy.nic.in
and proceed as follows:-
(a) Click on Officers Menu button. Go to How to apply button and then click apply
online for the particular entry on the home page.
(b) Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been
provided as you click on each field.
(c) Before clicking the submit button it should be checked whether all details
entered in the form are correct as you will not be able to make any corrections
after saving the record.
(d) After submitting the form and acknoledgement of successful submission
generated roll number and the buttons of print and save the application will
appear. It is advisible to first save the online appliation and then take a print out.
(e) After submitting online application, candidates are required to obtain two
copies of the application printout. One copy of the print out application duly
signed and affixed photograph attested by Gazzetted Officer there on and
attested copies of 10th Class Certificate, 12th Class certificate alongwith Degree/
Provisional Degree of B.E/B.Tech or marksheets of eight semesters of B. E/
B.Tech are to be sent by Regd Post to “Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg-
6), TGC, Sectlon, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066". The last date
of receipt of such printouts of online applications is 31 Dec 2012 while
forwarding these applications the words “Online application for TGC - 117 and
the Roll No.............“must be written boldly outside the envelope. The second
copy of the printout of online application form and all the above certificates in
original alongwith two attested photocopies are to be carried to the selection
Centre by the candidate. Orginal wil be returned after verification by the selection
centres.
(f) Candidates must submit· only one application. Receipt of multiple
applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature
.
18. Candiates of Army Education Corps and Military Farms: (a) AEC and Military
Farms candidates are not permitted to apply online. They should apply only by
post. (b) Candidates can download Application Form for AEC and military farm
from Army Website i.e. www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
(i) Military Farms only (Apply only by Post) : Application in respect of candidates
applying for Military Farms category will be forwarded directly by post to Integrated
Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), QMG’s Branch, Directorate of
Military Farms (MF-1), West Block-III, R.K.Puram, New Delhi-110066 in an
envelop and SUPERSCRIBED IN CAPITAL LETTERS IN RED INK on the top left
corner of the envelope indicating MILITARY FARMS. Last date of receipt of
application is 20 Nov 12.
(ii) Army Education Corps only (Apply only by Post). Application as per the format
given on website in respect of candidates applying for Army Education Corps
category will be forwarded directly by post to Directorate General of Recruiting
(Rtg-6), TGC Section, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 in an envelop
and SUPERSCRIBED IN CAPITAL LETTERS IN RED INK on the top left corner of
the envelope indicating 117th TGC (ARMY EDUCATION CORPS).
(iii) AEC Candidates are advised to send their applications well in advance so that the
same reaches before the last date for receipt of applications. Last date of receipt
of application is 20 Nov 12. Recruiting Directorate is not responsible for postal
delays. Applications should not be sent by Private Courier Agencies. Candidates
are informed that in case of dispute, if any, the same will be subject to Delhi
Jurisdiction.
(iv) Applications received after due date will neither be opened nor be entertained in
any case.
19. Any change in your postal address after submission of application must be
communicated by post duly quoting your Roll No. name and course opted for.
20. Original certificates should not be attached with the application form. Additional
Directorate General of Recruiting, Adjutant General’s Branch, Integrated
Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army) will not take responsibility for loss of
original certificates, if attached with application. Photo should be pasted and not
stapled. Attestation made on the backside of the photo will not be entertained.
ESSENTIAL CERTIFICATES
(a) Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board concerned (CBSE/State Boards/
(CSCE) in which date of birth is reflected and no subsequent request for change
in Date of Birth will be considered or granted. (Admit Card/ Marksheet/ Transfer/
Leaving Certificate etc. are not acceptable) (b) Either the original Degree certificate
for BE/B Tech or independent marksheet of all years/semesters/parts of Engineering
Degree for those candidates who have already passed. (c) For those who are in final
year/semester/certificate from the principal/Head of the Institution stating that the
candidate is in final year and final exam’s will be over before 01 Jul 2013 (for TGC
Engineering candidates)
Note: (a) The application as forwarded inresponse to the above advertisement is
valid for 117th TGC only and will not be considered for any other course whatsoever.
21. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
(a) Application must be sent in the format given in Army Website
www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. The application will be screened and shortlisted based
on aggregate percentage of marks obtained by candidates at Integrated Defence
Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army) and the candidate thereafter will be detailed
for SSB. (b) Application must be accompanied by attested (By a Gazetted Officer of the
Central/State Govt/1 st Class Magistrate ete.) photocopies of 10th class certificate issued
by the Board concerned (CBSE/State Boards/ICSCE) in which date of birth is reflected
for proof of date of birth (Admit card/Marksheet/Transfer/Leaving Certificate etc. are not
acceptable for proof of date of birth) and 10+2 certificate and Marksheet for proof of
education. Revised marksheets issued by a Board/ University after last date of receipt/
application will not be accepted for this course. However, the same will be accepted for
the subsequent course. (c) Shortlisted candidates will be detailed to undergo SSB
interview from Feb / Mar 2013 onwards. No compensation will be paid in respect of any
injury sustained as a result of test conducted at SSB . All application received late or
incomplete will be rejected outright. No intimation will be given to the candidate in
writing or verbally to submit fresh application/certificate or any other required documents.
(d) Allotment of selection centres and SSB interview schedule will also be displayed
regularly on website joinindianarmy.nic.in (e) Candidates withdrawn from NDA, OTA,
IMA Naval Academy, Air Force Academy on disciplinary grounds are not eligible to
apply. (f) Final merit list will be displayed at the notice board of Rtg Dte, (Off icer
Selection), DG Rtg, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi PIN-110066 as well as Indian
Army, Recruiting Directorate’s website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in before induction for

22. CHANGE OF INTERVIEW DATES: Request for change of SSB interview date should
be avoided. However under most unavoidable circumstances, such change may be
considered based on the circumstances of the case. This will be an exception rather the
rule. Request for such change should be forwarded to Selection Centre from where the
call up letter for SSB interview has been received and not to Additional Directorate
General Recruiting. The Selection Centre may Permit change of date at their discretion.
23. REASONS FOR REJECTION OF APPLICATION:
(a) Printout of online applications not received by due date alongwith attested copies
of certificates.
(b) Candidates not signed in signature block of printout.
(c) Incomplete applications in any respect and/or without copies of requisite certificate(s).
Documents submitted at a later stage will not be entertained.
(d) Variation in names and spellings as recorded in application/Matric or equivalent
certificate not supported by affidavite. (e) Non-attached of copy of 10th class certificate
for age proof and 12th class Marksheet for proof of PCM% duly attested by a Govt.
Gazetted Officer. No other certificate is valid for authentication of age. (f) Without
photograph Attested by Gazetted Officer affixed on application form (g) Application not
signed by Candidate (h) Submission of more than ONE application. (i) Non-receipt of
applications on/before due date of submission of applications (j) Any ambiguity/erasures/
unattested cuttings/false information/concealment of information detected in the above
certificate will result cancellation of the candidature at any stage of selection.
24. ENTITLEMENT FOR TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE: Candidates appearing for SSB
Interview for the first time for a particular type of commission, shall be entitled for ACIII
Tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within
the Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will not
be entitled to traveling allowances on any subsequent occasion.
